👀Additional Info

What time are we leaving East London Mosque?
We’ll be leaving East London Mosque at 7:00 AM sharp, so please make sure to arrive a little earlier to avoid any delays.
What time are we getting back?
We’re aiming to head back by 9:00 PM, but please note that this time may vary slightly depending on traffic conditions — it could be a bit earlier or later. We’ll keep everyone updated throughout the day.
What is the fundraising cause?
All funds raised will go towards providing safe and clean drinking water to vulnerable communities in Bangladesh, helping families who currently struggle with water scarcity and unsafe water sources.
Water is one of the greatest acts of charity in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“The best charity is giving water to drink.”
(Sunan Ibn Majah)
By supporting this cause, you will help deliver a basic human right — clean water — to those most in need, earning ongoing reward (Sadaqah Jariyah) every time someone benefits from the water provided.
Once you reach your £180 fundraising target, you’ll have the special opportunity to add a personal message or the name of a loved one to the plaque. This will be a beautiful act of Sadaqah Jariyah – a lasting reward for years to come, in their name or yours.
What happens if I don’t hit my fundraising target?
We’re here to support you throughout your fundraising journey, and most participants reach their goal with time to spare. However, please note that a minimum of 80% of the fundraising target must be raised before the event date. If this minimum isn’t met, you may be excluded from taking part, or, if you prefer, you can personally cover the remaining amount to secure your place. We’ll do our best to help you get there!
